Rudolf Haidegger

Rudolf Haidegger (born July 10, 1923 , † June 22, 1987 ) was an Austrian hurdler and sprinter .

In 1951 he won bronze over 400 m hurdles at the International Summer University Sports Week . At the Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952, he was eliminated from the 400 m and 400 m hurdles in the preliminary run.

Even at the European Athletics Championships in 1954 in Bern, he did not go beyond the first round in the 400 m , 400 m hurdles and in the 4 x 400 m relay .

Three times he was Austrian champion over 400 m hurdles (1951-1953), twice over 200 m hurdles (1953, 1954) and once over 400 m (1947).

His father Rudolf Haidegger Sr. (January 1896–1985) was successful as a medium and long-distance runner. In 1918 he was Austrian champion over 1500 m, in 1920, 1921 and 1922 over 5000 m and in 1921 in cross country.
