Rudolf Knöner

Rudolf Karl Knöner (born January 4, 1929 in Leipe ; † February 25, 1990 in Dresden ) was a German physicist .

Life

In 1950 he attended the workers and farmers faculty at the University of Leipzig and in 1951 switched to the workers and farmers faculty at the TH Dresden . He received his Abitur in 1953. He then studied physics at the TH Dresden. In 1958 he got his diploma and continued to work as an assistant at the chair for physics. He received his doctorate in 1963 and received the Facultas Docendi for Experimental Physics in 1969 . Another doctorate took place in 1973. As a full professor for experimental physics ( deep temperature physics) he was appointed in 1970. From 1971 he was head of the deep-temperature physics department and from 1973 to 1979 he was director of the physics section. He was rector of the TU Dresden from 1980 to 1986.
