Rudolf Pfister (doctor)

Rudolf Hermann Pfister (born February 2, 1918 in Dossenheim , † June 7, 2002 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German physician.

Life

Rudolf Pfister was a dermatologist , initially as successor to Alfred Stühmer acting clinic director of the Dermatology Clinic in Freiburg from 1957 to 1960 and from 1961 to 1982 clinic director of the University Dermatology Clinic in Freiburg. He held a professorship for skin and venereal diseases at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg and was an expert in dermatomycosis and nail diseases.

He was involved in numerous social projects in the Holy Land and was a member of the German Association of the Holy Land . In 1976 he was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher by Cardinal Grand Master Maximilien de Fürstenberg and invested on December 4, 1976 by Franz Hengsbach , Grand Prior of the Order. Most recently he was a Grand Officer of the Papal Lay Order.
