Rudolf Rössler (painter)
Rudolf Rössler (born April 28, 1864 in Gablonz an der Neisse , † October 16, 1934 in Vienna ) was an Austrian genre painter.
Life
Rudolf Rössler studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna . After graduating, he worked in Vienna as a craftsman and painter of genre scenes. From 1887 to 1893 he was a professor at the Vienna School of Applied Arts . His students included u. a. Rudolf Fuchs and Theodor Bruckner (1870–1921).
Rössler designed numerous Austrian banknotes, partly together with other artists such as Gustav Klimt , Josef Pfeiffer and Rudolf Junk (see list of Austrian kroner banknotes ).
