Rudolf Rasser

Rudolf Rasser (born November 25, 1886 in Gumpoldskirchen , Lower Austria ; † June 8, 1976 there ) was an Austrian politician ( CSP , later ÖVP ).

Life

After attending primary school in Gumpoldskirchen and a community school in Baden , Rudolf Rasser enjoyed an apprenticeship as a winemaker . In this function he was awarded the title of Economic Council in 1936 .

However, his political career began in 1924 when he moved into the Gumpoldskirchen municipal council as a Christian Social Member . In 1929 Rasser ran successfully for the office of mayor of his home municipality. In 1933, Rasser was also elected Vice President of the Lower Austrian Chamber of Agriculture . In both functions - as mayor as well as Vice-President of the Chamber of Agriculture - Rasser worked until 1938.

In May 1948, Rasser became a member of the Federal Council in Vienna for the ÖVP , to which, however, he was only supposed to be a member until November 1949.
