Rudolf Schwarzböck

Rudolf Schwarzböck (born December 9, 1947 in Korneuburg ) is an Austrian farmer and former politician ( ÖVP ). Schwarzböck was a member of the Austrian National Council from 1986 to 2000 and chairman of the President's Conference of the Chambers of Agriculture from 1990 to 2007 .

education and profession

Schwarzböck attended elementary and secondary school and did military service from 1965 to 1966. Schwarzböck attended the agricultural training school in Korneuburg and graduated from the Mistelbach agricultural college in 1970 with a master's degree in agriculture.

Schwarzböck took over his parents' farm in 1973 and has been an independent farmer ever since. He has been chairman of the Raiffeisen auditing association Lower Austria-Vienna since 2002.

politics

Schwarzböck was a local councilor in Hagenbrunn from 1980 to 1985 and represented the ÖVP in the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1981 to 1986 . From December 17, 1986 to September 18, 2000 he was a member of the National Council.

Schwarzböck was active as a farmer's representative for a long time and was elected deputy chairman of the Lower Austrian Farmers 'Union in 1980 and was regional chairman of the Lower Austrian Farmers' Union from 2000 to 2005. In addition, Schwarzböck was Chamber Councilor of the State Chamber of Agriculture for Lower Austria from 1975 and its President from 1985 to 2005. From 1990, Schwarzböck was chairman of the President's Conference of the Chambers of Agriculture and from 1972 to 1973 regional chairman of the rural training center of Lower Austria. Between 2003 and 2005 he was also a member of the Austria Convention . In the ÖVP, Schwarzböck held the function of Federal Party Chairman from 1989 to 1991 and from 1995 to 1999.

In spring 2007, Schwarzböck withdrew from all political offices. He justified the point in time with the expiry of his function in the European Farmers' Union. He resigned from his position as President of the Chambers of Agriculture on May 3, 2007.

Private

Schwarzböck has been married since 1973 and has three children.
