Rudolf Tichý

Rudolf Tichý (born May 8, 1924 in Brno ; † January 1, 1993 ibid) was a Czech prehistoric archaeologist .

Tichý attended the commercial academy in Brno until 1943 and worked in trading companies from 1945 to 1951. From 1951 he was employed at the Archaeological Institute of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences in Brno and also studied prehistory at the University of Brno , where he received his doctorate in 1958. He was particularly concerned with the Neolithic in Moravia .
