Rudolf Weber-Fas

Rudolf Weber-Fas (born April 15, 1933 in Trier ) is a German legal scholar . He was a university professor and a federal judge .

Life

Weber-Fas attended the Humanist High School in Trier and then studied law, political science and economics at the universities of Bonn , Cologne , Hamburg , Berlin and Princeton . His doctorate as Dr. jur. took place in 1956 at the University of Bonn. From 1960 Weber-Fas initially worked as a lawyer in Hamburg before he received an LL.M. in 1967 from Harvard University. attained. He then went into the civil service, where he was, among other things, government director in the Federal Ministry of Finance in Bonn.

From 1974 to 1975 Weber-Fas was a judge at the Federal Fiscal Court in Munich. In 1975, he took a reputation as a professor of the Faculty of Law of the University of Mannheim to where he until his retirement in 1983 holder of the chair was in public law and political science, German and International Tax Law. In 1979 he was dean of the Faculty of Law. He is also an honorary member of the Brazilian Tax Law Institute.
