Jean-Berchmans Nterere
Jean-Berchmans Nterere (born September 1, 1942 in Nkuna ; † May 5, 2001 ) was Bishop of Muyinga .
Life
Jean-Berchmans Nterere was ordained a priest on October 11, 1970 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Muyinga on January 23, 1992 . The bishop of Muyinga, Roger Mpungu , ordained him bishop on May 10th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Bernard Bududira , Bishop of Bururi , and Simon Ntamwana , Bishop of Bujumbura .
After Roger Mpungu's resignation on July 1, 1994, he succeeded him as Bishop of Navrongo.
