Rudolf Weilhartner

Rudolf Weilhartner (* 1935 in Zell an der Pram ) is an Austrian author and educator .

Life

As the son of a small farmer, Rudolf Weilhartner attended the Linz Teachers' Training College and studied German and theater studies at the University of Vienna . In addition to his studies, he made attempts to earn a living from activities for the ORF to washing dishes. After a failed attempt as a freelance writer , he became a teacher again after a few years .

Weilhartner mainly writes poetry , but also radio plays and little prose .

In the 1970s and 1980s he was co-editor , editor and author of the Upper Austrian literary magazine Die Rampe , booklets for literature for some time .

In 1993 Balduin Sulzer set a duet entitled Mein Land based on his text.

He is a member of the Innviertel Artists Guild . He was a member of the Association for the Promotion of Contemporary Art, Gallery Club of Encounter.
