Rudolf Winter

Rudolf Winter (born December 13, 1893 in Dresden , † July 16, 1965 in Hanover ) was a German engineer and politician ( SPD ).

Life

After graduating from high school in 1912, he lived in the USA until 1914. From 1914 to 1918 he participated in the war. He then completed a course of studies at the technical universities in Dresden and Berlin until 1922 , which he completed with the examination to become a qualified engineer. Then he worked in the machine industry and as a freelance designer.

After the Second World War , he moved to West Germany as a displaced person and moved to Lower Saxony . From 1946 he worked as a refugee supervisor and in 1949 became a representative of the State of Lower Saxony on the permanent advisory board at the Main Office for Emergency Aid (HfS) in Bad Homburg . He was also one of the founders of the Central Association of Expelled Germans (ZvD). Winter, who had joined the SPD.

Winter was a member of the district assembly of the Peine district and from 1946 until his death a member of the Lower Saxony state assembly . From November 9, 1956 to March 20, 1964, he was chairman of the subcommittee on the penal system of the state parliament's committee for legal and constitutional issues.
