Rudolf von Bennigsen-Foerder (lawyer)

Rudolf Johann Alexander von Bennigsen-Foerder (born July 12, 1879 in Reinbek ; † July 25, 1939 ) was a German lawyer and syndic who was a member of the board of directors of the Borsig company in Berlin until 1932 .

Rudolf von Bennigsen-Foerder came from a branch of the old Hanoverian noble family von Bennigsen , which had produced numerous lawyers, officers and civil servants (including the liberal politician Rudolf von Bennigsen ). He was the youngest son of District Administrator Albert von Bennigsen-Foerder . His mother Klara came from the Prussian officer family von Treskow .

After attending the humanistic grammar school, he worked as a trainee lawyer. After taking the court assessor's exam, he worked from December 1912 to 1914 as a company lawyer at A. Borsig, Berg- und Hüttenverwaltung, the later Borsig Aktiengesellschaft, in Upper Silesia. In 1916 he was referred to as the "Royal Prussian Lawyer".

In January 1919 Rudolf von Bennigsen-Foerder was appointed director of A. Borsig, Zentralverwaltung GmbH, Berlin. He held this position until December 1932, when he started working as a lawyer in Berlin in January 1933. His office was in Berlin-Zehlendorf , Goethestrasse 5.

In 1925 he had declared a temporary wage waiver due to the poor economic situation of the Borsig company.

Rudolf von Bennigsen-Foerder died two weeks after his 60th birthday and was buried in the Zehlendorf cemetery in Berlin . The tomb has been preserved, but has been abandoned.

He was married to Margaret born world. The marriage resulted in the son Rudolf Christian von Bennigsen-Foerder (1926–1989), who became an industry manager and long-time CEO of VEBA AG. Margarete, the wife of Rudolf von Bennigsen-Foerder, received a pension from the Borsig company in 1942.
