history
The street belongs to the domain Boulainvilliers , which was sold in 1825 by its last owner, M. Cabal, to the Roëhn company, which demolished the castle, parceled out the grounds of the park and created the new Boulainvilliers district.
A first part of the street was opened in 1825 under the current name between the Quai de Passy (now Avenue du Président-Kennedy ) and the Rue de Boulainvilliers . In the course of urban development, new parts were added until, according to the decree of October 12, 1950, it reached its current length.
