The ruins Hohentann even Alttann and fir called, is a Outbound hilltop castle on 630 m above sea level. NHN in place of the church in the Alttann district of the Wolfegg community in the Ravensburg district in Baden-Württemberg .
The castle was mentioned in the second half of the 12th century and was the ancestral castle of the Welfisch-Hohenstaufen ministerials from Tann, who later called themselves Truchsessen von Waldburg and Schenken von Winterstetten. In 1243 the castle came to the Schmalegg taverns , whose servants named themselves after her. The castle was destroyed at the end of the 13th century.
