Rumble Militia is a punk - metal band from Bremen , Germany .
The band is attributed to both punk and metal , as they knew from the beginning to combine the musical (and optical) characteristics of both styles of music.
history
Rumble Militia was founded in 1985 by the two guitarists Staffi and Hacki. Together with bassist Klohman and drummer Olly, after the positive response to their demo Treason , they recorded their debut LP Fuck Off Commercial between 1986 and 1987 , which was released in 1987. From the beginning, the musicians took a clear and loud stand against right-wing beliefs and commerce or the total sell-out in the music business. The use of Uwe Barschel's declaration shortly after the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 1987 caused a greater sensation : "... I give you my word of honor!" The EP, produced in 1993, How much hate do you still want? may not be distributed in Germany due to the ban on the publication of the title piece. The band responded to this with the release of the album Hate Me in 1994 . The best-of album Decade of Chaos and Destruction followed in 1998 (the sound carrier was originally announced under the title Decade of Anarchy and Destruction , but was released under a slightly modified title as a tribute to the band's fans in Greece and Turkey). Rumble Militia performed in the summer of 2002 at the 9th With Full Force Open Air Festival (WFF-IX) at Roitzschjora airfield . On October 11, 2014, Rumble Militia played the first show in over 20 years in their hometown of Bremen. From then on, and with a new line-up, various locations abroad were played; 2015 Izmir / Turkey, 2017 Athens, Santiago de Chile, Istanbul and 2018 Thessaloniki. Currently (2019) a new album "Set the world on fire" is being recorded and a 35-year anniversary show is being prepared.
