Rune Andréasson

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rune Andréasson (* 11. August 1925 in Lindome ; † 15. December 1999 in Viken ) was a Swedish comic draftsman and animator . He is the father of the Bamse - Världens starkaste och snällaste björn series .

job

Andréasson began his acting career and appeared in two early films by Ingmar Bergman . However, he soon realized that drawing was his destiny. In 1951 he gained his first experience as a film draftsman by working as an animator for Bergman's film Sommarlek (One Summer Long). In 1944 he created his first serial bear, Brum, whose series "Äventyr bland djuren" (Adventures among animals) appeared as a sequel in Gothenburg Posten . At the beginning of the 50s, the second bear, Teddy, was created, which later became the model for Bamse - with the difference that Bamse is only strong when he has eaten dunderhonung (rumpled honey).

In 1973 Bamse, which Andréasson had created seven years earlier, received its own serial magazine. He himself wrote the manuscript of all sections up to his retirement in 1990. Apart from the cover illustrations, however, as early as 1975 he transferred the drawing to the Spaniard Francisco Tora , who appeared as an unnamed draftsman. The reason for this was that Andréasson should be able to write the manuscript of 12 issues a year and produce the cartoons at the same time. In 1983 Tora received support from Bo Michanek as a draftsman for the Bamse series. These two were the only ones who drew the series until Andréasson's retirement. However, throughout his time at Bamse, Andréasson gave very clear guidelines on how to draw.

A trademark of the Bamse magazines under Andréasson is their commitment to education and culture , justice and solidarity . The magazine has been criticized for its leftist propaganda and portrayal of capitalists as the evil of the world.

family

Rune's family was very involved in the Bamse magazines and films. Especially in the years from 1982 to 1990, when the family business Rune A-serier produced the magazine in the family home in Viken.

Some of the characters in the Bamses series are named after family members of Andréasson: the daughter Viktoria was namesake of Bamses boat and mother, the wife Majvor of Bamses daughter Nalla-Maja (who should originally be called Nalle-Majvor, but Bamse and Brummelisa found this name too long and shortened it) and the name of the son Olas appears again with Ola Grävling. The family also consists of two sons, Dan and Pål.
