Ruodelo

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ruodelo (* and † in the 6th century ) was the second bishop of Konstanz at the end of the 6th century.

In Vindonissa the bishops Bubulcus (517 first bishop of Windisch), Cromatius or Grammatius and Ursinus are attested. According to a building inscription in Vindonissa (today Windisch ), the diocese was moved from Windisch to Constance on Lake Constance in 590.

Maximus became (probably) the first bishop of Constance with the establishment of the Diocese of Constance around 585/590 by the Alemannic dukes with the help of Pope Gregory I, called the Great .

His successor was around 585 to 590, also 583 (?), Ruodelo ( Ruodelo qui et Ruodolfus, Bishop v. Windisch .).
