Life
Rupert Voss, born in 1965, has headed the Voss AG he founded since 2000. In 2008, the employee participation corporation was awarded the Ludwig Erhard Prize (ILEP) for quality management.
Rupert Voss has been a boxing instructor since 2001, a socio-educational additional training in work with boys. In 2002 he founded the organization hand in, d. H. Institute of hand development-oriented Experience in gration. In 2003 hand in took over the sponsorship of the youth welfare project Work and Box Company, which reintegrates violent offenders into society and the labor market. Voss developed the method on the basis of his own experiences: both the experiences of his childhood and youth with a violent father and the early death of his two brothers as well as his experiences as an entrepreneur with apprentices and their difficulties. Further factors are his conviction that training must take place under realistic economic conditions, as well as his collaboration with the systemic family therapist Werner Makella.
Based on his experience in youth welfare , in 2004 he founded the Rupert Voss Foundation and Voss & Partner Management Consulting, which accompanies companies and entrepreneurs in change processes.
Since Rupert Voss was made a Fellow of Ashoka Germany in 2006, he has been working harder to spread his successful youth welfare methodology. In 2008 he founded the hand in non-profit corporation (hand in gAG). The aim of the hand in gAG is to support the dissemination of the work and box method financially and through training.
In his book HerzSchlag - My Commitment to Humanity , Rupert Voss presents his life story and his initiatives in context. The book was published in 2009 by Kösel-Verlag Munich.
A documentary film is being made about the work of the Work and Box Company . Under the title Friedensschlag - The Year of Decision it is produced by BoomtownMedia GmbH & Co. KG in Berlin .
