Ruppenmanklitz ( westallgäuerisch Rupp e manklitz ) is a village of the Swabian market Weiler-Simmerberg in Lindau (Bodensee) in Bavaria and part of the region Westallgäu . The place is located between Weiler im Allgäu and Lindenberg im Allgäu , below the Queralpenstrasse .

history

For the first time the place with the Schreckenmanklitz Castle was mentioned in a document in 1366 as "zum Anklis". At that time, interest on the farms and money from the farms was given to a "Bartlome Ruppen zum Anklns".
