Ruslan Volodymyrowytsch Romantschuk ( Ukrainian Руслан Володимирович Романчук ; born October 12, 1974 in Odessa , Ukrainian SSR ) is a former Ukrainian football player .

Career

The midfielder began his professional career at Chornomorets Odessa . First he played for two years in the Soviet Wysschaya League and from 1992 in the Ukrainian Wyschtscha Liha . In the 1994/95 season Romantschuk was runner-up with Chornomorez behind Dynamo Kiev . After half a year with Kremin Kremenchuk , Romanshuk moved to Nywa Vinnytsia , with whom he was relegated from the Ukrainian league in 1997.

Then Ruslan Romantschuk moved in 1997 to the German second division club FC Gütersloh . After a season in which he finished fifth with the Güterslohern, Romantschuk first moved to regional division TuS Celle FC and a short time later to league rivals Lüneburger SK . In the summer of 1999, Romancechuk returned to his homeland and joined Chornomorez Odessa. He played there for four years before moving to Hoverla Uzhhorod . He then played in Kazakhstan for FK Taras and Spartak Semei before returning to Ukraine and signing with Dnister Owidiopol . In 2006 he ended his career.
