The Ruwerspring , also known as the Ruwerquelle , is a spring near Osburg in the Trier-Saarburg district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It lies at 660 m above sea level. NHN at the Rösterkopf in the Osburger Hochwald and is the origin of the Moselle tributary Ruwer .
General
The spring is contained in a well and is a popular hiking and excursion destination. It is at the intersection of several hiking trails between tall trees. In the following 46 kilometers, the Ruwer grows into the Hunsrück tributary of the Moselle with the most water and finally flows into the Moselle in Ruwer .
