Career

Ryōta Aoki learned to play soccer on the school team at Ryutsu Keizai University Kashiwa High School . He signed his first professional contract with Nagoya Grampus in 2014 . The club from Nagoya , a port city in the Japanese prefecture of Aichi on Honshū , played in the country's highest league, the J1 League . In 2014 he played seven times in the J.League U-22 Selection . This team, which played in the third division, the J3 League , was made up of the best young players from the higher-class clubs. The team was founded with a view to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro . The players were selected on a weekly basis from a pool for which each club was able to name talented individuals worth promoting; the composition of the team therefore varied greatly from game to game. In 2016 he had to start the path to the second class with the club. In the following year, the club managed to get up again with a third place in the table.
