Ry Cuming (* in Angourie , New South Wales ), also known as Ry X , is an Australian musician .

biography

Ry Cuming is from the east coast of Australia and grew up in the Byron Bay area . At the age of 18 he quit his education and traveled to Central America. He was discovered in Costa Rica in 2006 by an American director and brought to Los Angeles . He worked on his music career and released his debut album on Jive Records in 2010 . It was produced by John Alagía and Sara Bareilles was one of his singing partners on the album. Although he then also played in the opening act in performances by artists such as Maroon 5 or Phantom Planet , he did not make a breakthrough.

He first drew attention to himself in Europe in 2012 together with the producer Frank Wiedemann von Âme . He took his song Howling and turned it into a successful electro piece with Cumming's vocals. This led to the joint electrical project Howling , named after the first song .

In 2013, he signed with the Swedish label Dumont Dumont, where he held a solo EP under the stage name Ry X published. The theme song Berlin was discovered for advertising and used in the commercial for a new television set and was then able to place itself in the charts in France , England and Germany, where the spot was broadcast.
