Ryan Gauld (born December 16, 1995 in Aberdeen ) is a Scottish football player who currently plays for Sporting Lisbon .

Career

Ryan Gauld was born in December 1995 in the city of Aberdeen , in the north-east of Scotland . He began his football career - he started at the age of eight years - first in the youth of Brechin City , before moving to the Youth Academy of Dundee United moved. He made his debut for the Tangerines on the last day of the Scottish Premier League 2011/12 against FC Motherwell under team manager Stuart McCall . With United he reached the Scottish Cup final 2013/14 , which was lost to FC St. Johnstone 2-0.

For the 2014/15 season Gauld moved to the Portuguese Primeira Liga for Sporting Lisbon . So far (October 9, 2014) he was in the second team in the second-rate Segunda League .

In July 2017, Gauld was loaned to Desportivo Aves for a season .

National team

Ryan Gauld made his debut for the Scottish U-19 national team against the Netherlands in 2012. In addition to regular appearances in the U-19s, he also played in the Scottish U-21 team from 2013 , for which he played against Georgia for the first time.
