Ryan Pini (born December 10, 1981 in Port Moresby ) is a swimmer from Papua New Guinea in the disciplines of butterfly and freestyle.

Pini participated in the 2004 Olympic Games , the 2006 Commonwealth Games , the 2007 Melbourne World Swimming Championships and the 2008 Olympic Games .

Raised in Papua New Guinea, Pini now trains in Brisbane and starts for the Yeronga Park Swimming Club . At the 2004 Olympic Games he reached 18th place on 100 m Delfin, at the Commonwealth Games two years later he already won gold at this distance by beating Michael Klim and Moss Burmester with 52.64 seconds . This gold was the second medal in international championships and the first ever swimming medal in the Commonwealth Games for Papua New Guinea. At the Swimming World Championships 2007 Pini competed in the distances of 100 m dolphin and 50 m dolphin. He reached the semifinals. In qualifying, Ryan Pini also competed in the 100 m freestyle.

Pini was the flag bearer for Papua New Guinea at the 2008 Olympics. He was first in the third preliminary round for 200m freestyle, but his time was not enough to qualify in the semifinals. Also over 100 m freestyle he was eliminated in the preliminary run. Things went much better for Pini over the 100 m dolphin. Here he reached the final, in which he was eighth and last. In 2010 Pini won the silver medal in the 100 m butterfly at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi .
