Rye is located in Westchester County in the US state of New York .
There are, however, two political communities (English municipality ) of the same name, is a City and a Town:
Both now differ in terms of the number of inhabitants: with around 45,000, the town has around three times as many inhabitants as the city . The "city" Rye is the birthplace of Lex Barker and the hometown of President's wife and mother Barbara Bush .
To Town includes the villages ( Villages ) Port Chester and Rye Brook.
