Ryszard Karpiński

Ryszard Karpiński (born December 28, 1935 in Rudzienko , Lublin Voivodeship ) is a Polish clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop emeritus in Lublin .

Life

The Bishop of Lublin , Piotr Kałwa , ordained him as a priest on April 19, 1959 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Diocese of Lublin .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Lublin and titular bishop of Minervium on August 19, 1985 . The Polish primate , Józef Cardinal Glemp , donated him episcopal ordination on September 28 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Bronisław Dąbrowski FDP , auxiliary bishop in Warsaw , and Bolesław Pylak , bishop of Lublin. As a motto he chose Viatoribus fer auxilium .

On December 31, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
