Ryszard Podlas
Ryszard Podlas (born July 29, 1954 in Białobrzezie ) is a former Polish sprinter who specialized in the 400-meter run .
He celebrated the greatest success of his career at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal. The Polish 4 x 400 meter relay won the silver medal behind the United States team in the line-up of Ryszard Podlas, Jan Werner , Zbigniew Jaremski and Jerzy Pietrzyk .
Another silver medal in the relay Podlas won at the European Athletics Championships in 1978 in Prague together with Jerzy Włodarczyk , Zbigniew Jaremski and Cezary Łapiński behind the team of the Federal Republic of Germany. At the European Athletics Championships in 1982 Podlas finished fourth in the relay.
Ryszard Podlas was three times in a row Polish champion in the 400-meter run from 1977 to 1979. He is 1.71 m tall and had a competition weight of 63 kg.
