Sándor Tatar
Sándor Tatár (born April 25, 1962 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian poet and translator.
Life
Tatár studied German in Budapest until 1988 and received his doctorate in 2000.
Tatár lives in Törökbálint with his wife and son . He works as a librarian in the library of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He translates poetry, narrative texts and essays from German into Hungarian.
He is a founding member of the Association of Hungarian Literary Translators, a member of "Szépírók Társasága / Society of Fiction Authors" and since 2009 a member of the European authors' association The Cog .

- 2009: Alfred Müller Felsenburg Prize for upright literature (together with Paul Alfred Kleinert )
