São Miguel de Silk is a Portuguese community ( freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Vila Nova de Famalicão . 1170 inhabitants live in it (as of June 30, 2011).

One of the most important Portuguese poets, Camilo Castelo Branco , lived here until his suicide in 1890.
