Nine is a Portuguese community ( freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Vila Nova de Famalicão . It has 2974 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

The place is on the Rio Este . It is the junction of the Linha do Minho and Ramal de Braga railway lines .
