São Sebastião is a municipality and city in the Algarve in Portugal . It belongs to the Loulé district , has an area of 38.2 km² and 7,433 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011), which corresponds to a population density of 119 inhabitants / km².
The municipality represents the smaller of the two municipalities of Loulé with about one third of the urban area. The remaining urban area is about two thirds in the municipality of São Clemente .
