Sérgio Manoel Júnior (born March 2, 1972 in Santos ) is a Brazilian football player.

Career

The 1.75 meter tall and 68 kilogram heavy football player began his career with the Brazilian youth club AA Portuguesa Santos , to which he remained from 1985 to 1987. He then went to his home club Santos FC for one season in 1987 .

His professional league career, which continues to this day, he started in 1989 with his youth club, where he was promoted to the professional league. He stayed with the club until 1992. During his four years in the professional league, he played 62 games and twice put the ball into the net. In the 1992 to 1993 season he was active as a football player for Fluminense FC . During the season he took part in 15 games, scoring twice. He returned to his home club in the 1993/94 season, where he played 25 games and once he shot the ball into the goal. At the end of the season he ended the contract with his home club and signed a new contract with Botafogo FR , where he played 25 times with the team and managed to get three rounds for the 1995-1996 season he took a break, in 1996 he signed a contract with the Japanese club Cerezo Osaka for the 1996/97 season , where he played 33 games and pushed the ball into the net six times. After the season he left the club Cerezo Osaka again and played 19 times at the Porto Alegre club Gremio Porto Alegre , where he scored two goals. At the end of the season he canceled the contract and signed a contract for the second time with the club Botafogo FR, where he signed a total of three times. The second time he played 41 professional league games, of which he was responsible for five goals.

From 2000 to 2002 he was active at the Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte association. In the two years of playing he was present at 35 games, three times he brought the round into the network. For the remainder of the year after his end at Club Cruzeiro, he moved to Coritiba FC for six goalless games .

From 2003 to 2008 he was active in at least two clubs, sometimes he was only on the entry list and did not take part in any game. In 2003 he signed two contracts, first with America FC (RJ) , where he played ten games and then ten games with Portuguesa . He scored one goal each at both clubs. The following year he was active again with two clubs, first with Figueirense FC , where he was on the field 15 times and the ball seven times in the net and four goalless games he played for the Argentine club CA Independiente . He made a goalless comeback at Figueirense FC, where he played nine games in 2005. In 2006 he was in three clubs, where he was only on the list at the club Volta Redonda FC , but was not used. Then he was for the third time with the club Botafogo FR under contract and played eight games. He also signed a contract with Náutico Capibaribe , where he played 11 times in a game, in both clubs, where he played a total of 19 games, all were goalless. In 2007 he was with the clubs Volta Redonda FC, Ceilândia EC on the list of players, in a game he did not take part for the clubs mentioned. One possible reason is that he was active at the club Ceará SC , where he played 22 games in which he scored four goals. In 2008 he signed a contract with Babacal EC , where he did not take part due to lack of time, since he had a contract with CA Bragantino since 2008 and has since taken part in 23 games and scored four goals, as in 2007 with Ceará SC. He is still active with the club today.

Sérgio Manoel was also active for four goalless games from 1995 to 1998 for the Brazilian national team .
