Södra Sandby [ sø: dra Sanby: ] is a place ( tätort ) in the southern Swedish province of Skåne County and the historic province of Skane , east of Lund area. It is the second largest town in the municipality of Lund after Lund .

Södra Sandby is mainly characterized by residential houses, especially villas. There are only a few small industrial settlements. Most residents commute to the nearby cities of Malmö and Lund.
