Sören Kneidl

Sören Kneidl (* 1989 in Detmold ) is a German actor .

Life

Sören Kneidl lived and worked at various cultural institutions in South Africa , Brazil and Greece after graduating from high school . He made his first theater experiences at the Bielefeld Theater and at the basement theaterKunst im Prückel ” in Vienna . From 2014 to 2018 he completed his acting studies at the Music and Art University Vienna (MUK). During his training he performed a. a. at the living room theater in Vienna, at the Drachengasse theater and at the theater association “Kulturszene Kottingbrunn” (title role in Hamlet ).

In the 2017/18 season he made his first guest appearance at the Volkstheater Wien . Appearances at the Nestroyhof Hamakom Theater followed in 2018 and in 2018/19 at Werk X in Vienna in the productions Onkel Toms Hütte and The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum . In October 2018, Kneidl presented his live radio play Frankenstein based on the novel of the same name by Mary Shelley , which was created as part of his bachelor's degree at the MUK, in the Red Bar of the Vienna Volkstheater . In 2019 he played Albert in a stage version of Goethe's The Sorrows of Young Werther at the Volkstheater Wien . In the 2019/20 season he will be a guest at the Vienna Burgtheater in Ulrich Rasche's production of Die Bakchen after Euripides .

Kneidl took part in several short films in which u. a. Susi Stach and Oliver Haffner directed. In the 16th season of the ZDF series SOKO Wismar (first broadcast: October 2019), he took on one of the leading roles in the episode as a suspected computer scientist and head of a center for digital nomads and bon vivants.

Sören Kneidl lives in Vienna.
