Sören Seidel (born October 10, 1972 in Düsseldorf ) is a former German football player .

Career

Seidel began his career at various amateur clubs in Bremen ( Blumenthaler SV , SG Aumund-Vegesack ) and Lower Saxony ( SV Atlas Delmenhorst ). From 1997 he was in the squad of the Bundesliga club Werder Bremen , where he played twelve league games in the following year and a half. In the meantime he was loaned to the then second division Hannover 96 . In 1999 he was the top scorer of the DFB League Cup together with Ulf Kirsten .

From 2000 Seidel played two years each for the second division MSV Duisburg and the regional division Holstein Kiel . After a season with the third division club Preußen Münster followed positions at 1. FC Kleve in the Oberliga Nordrhein and at SV Lippstadt 08 in the Oberliga Westfalen . From 2007 to 2009 Seidel played for two years in the regional league team of Borussia Mönchengladbach .

From the 2009/10 season he played in the Lower Saxony Oberliga at TSV Ottersberg , before returning to his old home club Blumenthaler SV in the Bremen League for the 2010/11 season . After a year he moved to league rivals FC Oberneuland , with whom he became champions and once again rose to the Regionalliga Nord. In 2013 he returned to Ottersberg, where he ended his career.
