In addition to the presentation of the great oratorios , the work of the choir concentrates on less well-known works from all epochs from the field of a cappella literature.

The South German Chamber Choir makes music in various sizes, which are adapted to the requirements of the respective composition. At its core, the choir consists of young professional singers who are also active as soloists; semi-professional choir singers join in for larger works .

This also includes work with renowned original sound orchestras such as the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra , Drottningholms Barockensemble Stockholm or Concerto Cologne .

There is a close cooperation with the German broadcasters, including Bayerischer Rundfunk and Hessischer Rundfunk . Recordings of selected works for CDs and radio broadcasts are regularly produced.
