The Southern Keltma ( Russian Южная Кельтма ( Juschnaja Keltma )) is a left tributary of the Kama in the Russian region of Perm .
The Southern Keltma has its source on the northern Russian ridge . It flows in the extreme north of the Perm region in a southerly direction and flows after 172 km into the Kama, which flows eastward in the upper reaches. 15 km above the mouth, its most important tributary, the Timschor , meets the river from the right. The southern Keltma drains an area of 5270 km². It is largely fed by the snowmelt . The river usually freezes in early November and remains ice-covered until late April.
The course of the Southern Keltma was previously connected to the Northern Keltma , which runs further to the north and belongs to the catchment area of the White Sea , via the Katharinenkanal .
