The Sülzenberg is a partially forested mountain of the Falkener Platte in the (north) west of Thuringia . It is located in the area of ​​the city of Treffurt in the northwestern part of the Wartburg district . The south side sloping steeply to the Werra valley served as pastureland and in the lower part also as arable land.

The mountain consists of shell limestone, which only appears in a few places, it has a summit height of 362  m above sea level. HN and is part of the Eichsfeld-Hainich-Werratal Nature Park . On the summit plateau and on the eastern slope, archaeological investigations were carried out by the Treffurt pastor Höppner in the 1930s.
