The AFC Săgeata Năvodari was a Romanian football club from the city of Năvodari , Constanța County .
history
The club, which was founded in Stejaru in 1960 , played in the lower classes for a long time. At the end of the 2007/2008 season, promotion to League III was achieved. In the first season in this league, a remarkable 5th place was achieved in Seria 2.
In July 2009 the mayor of Buftea announced that CS Buftea had sold its second division license to Săgeata Stejaru for € 500,000. Săgeata then went to the II. League. In 2010 the headquarters were moved from Stejaru to Năvodari. In the first season in League II, the sixth place was already occupied. 2010/11 they fought with Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț and Concordia Chiajna for a promotion place, but just missed him. In 2012, the goal of Liga I was narrowly missed again in the last games. A year later, the second was promoted to League 1, where the club played in the 2013/14 season. After two relegations in a row, Săgeata Năvodari broke up in 2015.
