The SC Lehe-Spaden (full name: Sportclub Lehe-Spaden 1956 eV ) is a German sports club from the municipality of Schiffdorf in the Lower Saxony district of Cuxhaven , which was founded on July 23, 1956. The club colors are blue and red. The club plays its home games in the Schiffdorf district of Spaden . The part of the name Lehe refers to the Bremerhaven district of Lehe, which borders on Spaden . The club's men's soccer team played in the Bremen district league (7th division) in the 2017/18 season. In addition to football, the club also offers table tennis , aerobics , gymnastics and badminton . In addition, there was a bowling department for several decades .

history

The SC Lehe-Spaden was founded on July 23, 1956 by 61 people as a pure football club and joined the Bremen Football Association and the Bremen State Sports Association in the same year . In the very first year of its existence, the club won the championship of the Bremerhaven district class , which was associated with promotion to the Bremerhaven district class . In 1957 a table tennis department was founded and in 1966 the BSG Hapag-Lloyd was accepted into the club.

In 1975, Lehe-Spaden secured the championship title of the Bremerhaven district league and promotion to the Bremen Association League , which was the fourth-highest German division at the time. The team was able to assert itself in this league for six years. After relegation, the club celebrated again in 1984 the championship in the Bremerhaven district league and promotion to the fifth-class Bremen regional league . This success was repeated in 1986 and 1991, after each relegation in the meantime. After relegated to the regional league, Lehe secured the championship title of the regional league for the fourth time in 2007 and returned to the Bremen regional league. After relegation there in 2010 only due to the necessary withdrawal of the second team from Hansa Rostock from the Regionalliga Nord , the third place in the 2011/12 season brought promotion to the fifth-rate Bremen league . After just one season, they were relegated twice in a row and are now back in the Bremen district league.
