The ten participants compete against each other twice in the main round in a league. Once in the home hall and once outside. The four best teams qualify after the round for the play-offs, which were held in Varaždin , Croatia in the fifth year . The point allocation in the league is unusual for handball. The handball association of Bosnia-Herzegovina, which is in charge of the SEHA, has adopted the so-called "English table" system, which is also used in the domestic league, in which there are three points for a win and one for a draw.
