The Frøs Arena (full name: Frøs Sparekasse Arena ) is an ice rink in the Danish town of Vojens in Haderslev Kommune , Sønderjylland . It offers 5000 places.

history

The arena, named after the new main sponsor Frøs Sparekasse (Frøs) since August 15, 2018 (until August 14, 2018: SE Arena (expiry of the contract on naming rights)), was opened in 2011. The sponsorship contract runs for three years.

The ice rink replaced the outdated and not even half as large Vojens Skøjtehal . The Frøs Arena is the home ground of the ice hockey club SønderjyskE Ishockey from the Metal Ligaen .

The first game in the new arena was a test match between SønderjyskE Ishockey and the Hamburg Freezers .

From February 7 to 10, 2013, the SE Arena was the venue for the qualification group F games for the 2014 Men's Olympic Ice Hockey Tournament in Sochi . The teams from hosts Denmark , Slovenia , Belarus and Ukraine took part. Outsider Slovenia qualified as group winners for the Winter Olympics . Denmark was third in the table.
