The SG Adenstedt is a sports club from Adenstedt in the district of Peine . The first soccer team played for a year in the highest amateur league in Lower Saxony .
history
SG Adenstedt goes back to MTV Adenstedt , which was founded in 1894 and founded a football department in 1911 . As part of the clean divorce , the footballers separated from MTV in the year as Eiche Adenstedt . At the end of the 1950s, the footballers of the club now known as SG Adenstedt had their most successful period.
In 1957 he was promoted to the season 5 amateur league (Hildesheim) . Two years later, the SG became champions of this class and moved into the promotion round to the amateur league Lower Saxony-East . In the playoff against SC Uelzen 09 the promotion was achieved through a goal from Heini Kraska. The team got off to a good start in the Upper House of Lower Saxony, leading the team to third place. The highlight was a 1-0 win against VfB Peine . Bad luck with injuries caused a series of defeats. At the end of the season, the SG rose after a 3: 5 defeat in the playoff against Rot-Weiß Steterburg .
In 1963, the SG was again third in the amateur league, but missed a year later as the penultimate qualification for the newly created Association League Lower Saxony . With this, the association disappeared at the district and county level. In 2010 they were promoted to the 1st district class in Peine , where the team still plays today.
