The soccer team of the then fire brigade sports club was founded in 1919 and played in the lower Viennese classes for the first few years. In 1936 the club rose as one of four teams in the II. Northern League, which was then the second highest division in Austria. In the 1936/37 season , the fire brigade fought against relegation from the start and at the end of the game year was second to last among fourteen clubs with 13 points from four wins and five draws. Also represented in the second level and relegated from the II. Northern League was the later merger partner Police SV .

In the next few decades, the SKV fire brigade no longer played a major role in football. In 1982/83 the team won the first class championship title and was promoted to the lower league B for a year. After the club was relegated again, the championship title was repeated in the first class in 1985/86 and the promotion rose again. In the second attempt, the club was able to assert itself in the minor league and even celebrated the championship title in the 1990/91 game year ahead of SC Weidling and SV Donau . After promotion to the fourth-class Viennese league , the fire brigade athletes took 15th place there in 1991/92 and immediately returned to the lower league B. In the following season he won the title again in the fifth division and returned to the Vienna league.

After the rise, the SKV founded a syndicate with the Brigittenauer SC and reached eleventh place in the table in the 1993/94 season. Although the league was managed from a sporting point of view, the BSC Fire Brigade Vienna syndicate dissolved again in 1994. The SKV fire brigade voluntarily relegated to 2nd class and dared to rebuild its team, which was crowned with the title of 2nd class in the first year. The club spent the 1995/96 season back in the lower division B, but at the end of the season rose again voluntarily to the 2nd class.

In the summer of 1996, the football department of the SKV fire brigade finally entered into a cooperation with the police sports association, which had qualified for the Vienna City League with the championship title in the minor league that season . On June 23, 1997 , the SKV fire brigade announced that it had stopped participating in the 2nd class and merged with the soccer section of the Vienna Police Sports Association based in Kaisermühlen . In the first years together they played under the name Police / Fire Brigade in the Vienna City League. In 2003 he was integrated into the PSV team for Vienna .
