The SKion GmbH is a subsidiary of the Industrial heiress Susanne Klatten . Via the SKion, Klatten holds shares in the wind turbine manufacturer Nordex (5.7%), SGL Carbon (27.27%), Avista Oil AG (30%) and other industrial companies. Today's chemical group Altana has been fully owned by SKion since a squeeze-out in 2010. In contrast, Susanne Klatten GmbH & Co. KG has a stake in the automobile manufacturer BMW of 12.56% for automobile stocks . SKion GmbH is based in Bad Homburg near Frankfurt am Main . The managing directors are Susanne Klatten and Johannes Fritz, who has been running the family office of Herbert Quandt's heirs for years . According to the Federal Gazette , the managed assets amount to 2.7 billion euros.

Susanne Klatten's brother, Stefan Quandt , has a similar company in Delton AG .
