The SV 1946 Crumstadt is a sports club from Crumstadt , a district of the Hessian town of Riedstadt . The club was founded in 1946 and, in addition to the departments for handball and table tennis, also has a carnival department .
The SV 1946 Crumstadt is known nationwide through its handball department, whose men reached the final of the German field handball championship in 1974 as champions of the Regionalliga Südwest , in which they lost 14:16 to TSV Birkenau in front of 4,000 spectators in the Sepp-Herberger Stadium in Weinheim .
