The SV Karlsruhe-Beiertheim is a sports club in Karlsruhe .

history

The club was founded on November 12, 1884 by 28 men from the Beiertheim community as the 1884 Beiertheim gymnastics club . In the gymnastics club there were predominantly members of the upper social class such as senior civil servants, the self-employed, etc. On December 12, 1945, the two Beiertheim clubs, the Beiertheimer Fußballverein 1898 eV and the Turnerschaft 1884 Karlsruhe-Beiertheim e. V. to the gymnastics and sports club Beiertheim (TuS). Thanks to extraordinary efforts, on June 15, 1958, the sports field and the clubhouse at the Stefanienbad were re-inaugurated and taken into possession. On June 16, 1980 the sports club Karlsruhe-Beiertheim (SVK) was founded as an "umbrella club".

The volleyball women's team has been represented in the 3rd League South since 2017/18 . In the 2018/19 season , the team was runner-up behind SV Sinsheim .

In 2019, too, the department is organizing a women's beach volleyball tournament on its beach facility. The beach volleyball team Magdalena Rapacz-Matras / Sandra Szychowska is 68th in the DVV team ranking.

The cooperation with the local volleyball clubs SSC Karlsruhe and TSG Blankenloch is based on the joint medical and physiotherapeutic care as well as the mixed teams such as Hasenfuß / Wintergerst, Hadzic / Heidebrecht and Jaeger / Kizele.

Soccer

The founding of the football club in 1898 was a sensation at the time. The lawn sport, coming from England, became known in Karlsruhe and was enthusiastically received by the youth. The club was named FC Germania . By 1904 the play area had been changed six times. The goal posts had to be carried to the field. An hour's walk to the Forchheim parade ground was not unusual. In 1903/1904 the club joined the South German Football Association . He was placed in the lowest division C. The club immediately emerged from the association games as champions. In 1907 the name FC Germania was changed to Beiertheimer Fußballverein 1898 . In the 1909/10 game year, the title of South German B-Class Master was achieved. On August 20, 1920 the inauguration of the sports facility took place with a friendly match against the Sport-Club Stuttgart (1: 3). From June 5th to 20th, 1948, the 50th anniversary of football was celebrated with a week of games and sports.

In the 2018/19 season the men's A team plays in the A2 district class.

Table tennis

In the 2018/19 season the men's 1 team plays in the District League South.

athletics

The club practices its athletics sport in the Carl-Kaufmann-Stadion . This also includes the talentiade of ten- and eleven-year-old pupils in fourth grade who are supposed to get enthusiastic about athletics

do gymnastics

On June 17, 1933, both gymnastics clubs in Beiertheim merged. In 1938 the club was represented at the German Gymnastics and Sports Festival in Breslau . On July 6, 1952, over 1,000 children attended the children's gymnastics festival on the club grounds.

Boules

The first team achieved the first promotion from the regional league to the upper league. The season in the Hardt League could be finished in second place.
