Saša Starović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Саша Старовић ; born October 19, 1988 in Gacko , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian volleyball player .

Career

Starović began his career in 2005 in his hometown club in what is now Bosnia . A year later he moved to OK Budućnost Podgorica . With the new club he won the Montenegrin championship in 2007. After the diagonal attacker made his debut in the Serbian national team last year , he reached third place in the European Championship with the team . In 2008 he defended the national title at Podgorica and moved into the final of the world league with the Serbs . He then took part in the Olympic tournament , which ended for his team in the quarter-finals against eventual winners USA . In 2009 Serbia was back in the world league final. The following season Starović played in Russia for Ural Ufa . At the 2010 World Cup , Serbia finished third with the diagonal attacker. Starović went to the Italian league to Andreoli Latina . In 2011 he won the title at the European Championship with Serbia . He then moved to ER San Giustino within Italy . There he only stayed until the end of 2011. At the end of March 2012, the diagonal attacker was obliged by league rival Lube Macerata . In 2012 Starović played with the national team at the Olympic Games in London .
