Sheikh Saʿud ibn Saqr al-Qasimi (also: Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi ; Arabic سعود بن صقر القاسمي, DMG Saʿūd b. Ṣaqr al-Qāsimī ; * February 10, 1956 in Dubai ) is ruler of the Emirate of Ra’s al-Khaimah , one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates .

Saʿud's mother is from Dubai. He himself first studied economics and political science at the University of Michigan, USA.

Saʿud, fourth eldest son of the then ruler, Sheikh Saqr ibn Muhammad al-Qasimi , was appointed crown prince on June 14, 2003 in place of the previous crown prince, his half-brother Chalid ibn Saqr al-Qasimi , and has since led due to the poor health of his father State affairs.

His position as the future ruler of Ra's al-Khaimah was questioned in 2010 due to the rapidly deteriorating state of health of the formal ruler at the time, Sheikh Saqr, by his half-brother, the previous crown prince Khalid ibn Saqr al-Qasimi, but he was ultimately able to defend himself enforce: Sheikh Saʿud was appointed ruler of the Emirate of Ra's al-Khaimah on October 27, 2010 after the death of his father.

According to him, one of his first political decisions was to facilitate the settlement of industries. The process of obtaining the necessary legal documents now takes less than a day. There is also an industrial area. In addition, he is in the process of strengthening tourism in the emirate.
